There has been a lot of confusion regarding what people call the 'end of the Mayan Calendar' or the 'end of an Era' that is due to happen december 12-21-2012.  This misconception is due in great part because of ignorance as to what exactly is the 'Mayan Calendar' or the 'Aztec Calendar'.
